About Vuzit
Organizations are increasingly faced with the technical complexity, legal
liabilities and risks associated with sharing documents containing sensitive
information online, such as financial records, business contracts, copyrighted
material and medical data. Regulatory bodies and organizations are clamoring
for better control and monitoring over their valuable information. At the
same time, the Internet and the advent of products such as the PDF file, are
making document distribution easier, but less secure.
Vuzit is a Philadelphia-based software company that is addressing the need
for a universal, yet enterprise-level, method for sharing, viewing and
controlling documents, images and other sensitive content on the web. To that
end, the company seeks to build well-designed products of the highest
quality using innovative technologies. Vuzit's flagship product is its Vuzit
DocuPub Platform, which enables universal electronic document
sharing, distribution control, and document auditing and statistics.
Architecturally, the Vuzit
DocuPub Platform is a Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) system. It utilizes web services and AJAX technology to create a best of
breed platform. The first production version of Vuzit's Platform was launched in
January 2008.
